Tip: HP/Compaq - The Pen and the Sleeve

The rubber sleeve on the pen seems to lose it's grip on the pen when subjected to heat for prolonged periods of time.

Over time the rubber expands but doesn't contract again so the sleeve gets sloppy and eventually makes it difficult to get the pen in and out of the garage. I've had three pens replaced under warranty in the last year. A bother, but HP has been pretty good about it.

I found a pen holder for my old Wacom tablet is perfect for storing the pen when I'm using the docking station. That way the pen stays cool and close at hand.
